Classic Beef Roast with Mushroom-Onion Gravy

3 lb. boneless beef chuck roast

1 (1 oz.) envelope dry onion soup mix

1 (10 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

Place roast in crock pot.  Sprinkle onion soup on roast and then spoon on undiluted soup.  Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
